An unknown assailant has murdered a female adult during a power outage at Abompekrom in the Obuasi West Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Ghana, according to reports.
Frederick Addo, the Assemblyman for Abompekrom Electoral Area, told Adom News that neighbours heard a scream for help coming from the deceased’s house.
They rushed to her aid and found her bleeding profusely inside her kitchen.
She was rushed to the AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) Hospital but died shortly after arrival.
A daughter of the deceased expressed her devastation and said she cannot comprehend why anyone would commit such a heinous act against her mother.
The body has been deposited at the morgue, while the Obuasi Divisional Police Command has begun investigations into the incident.
