Mentally challenged man beheads caretaker

A 35-year-old mentally handicapped man murdered a 56-year-old man on the railroad tracks at the main port of Tema, Ghana.

According to reports, the suspect beheaded the victim, who is a caretaker at the yard in the afternoon on Friday, May 30, 2025.

According to Adom News, “the suspect severed the caretaker’s head and carried it around in a bag.”

The suspect subsequently led personnel from the Tema Regional Police Command to where the headless body was after being arrested.

According to an eyewitness, the suspect lived and worked in the port until about two years ago, when he began to show signs of mental instability.

Meanwhile, the body has been deposited the mortuary.
