A 25-year-old man has been shot dead by an unknown assailant while returning from his farm in Akyem Dokyi-Tetekasom, near Akyem Takyiman in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region, Ghana.
Information gathered by Adom News indicates that the deceased left home on Monday morning to collect palm fruits for his father.
A farmer who shares a boundary with the deceased, narrated that she was preparing to carry farm produce home when she heard a gunshot.
To keep safe, the woman, who was with her son, disclosed that they decided to wait on the farm for a while.
When they decided to return home, they found the deceased lying in a pool of blood, with the suspect nowhere in sight.
The body has since been deposited at the Kade Government Hospital by Chief Inspector Godsway, the station officer in Akyem Takyiman.
Investigation has also commenced to apprehend the perpetrator.
