A 20-year-old unemployed man has been arrested for robbing a woman of her iPhone to gift his girlfriend as a New Year’s present in Bole, Savannah Region, Ghana.
“The suspect approached her, pointed a knife at her neck, and demanded her phone,” reports said.
Fearing for her life, she handed over the device and later identified the suspect, leading to his arrest.
During police interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, admitting that he had already given the stolen phone to his girlfriend as a gift.
Authorities have expressed frustration as the suspect has refused to reveal his girlfriend’s identity or location, complicating efforts to retrieve the phone.
