In Mali, at least 26 people were killed in terrorist attacks on Friday December 20, 2024 in the Bandiagara region,according to reports.
The attacks were claimed by Jnim, the al-Qaeda-linked Groupe de soutien à l’Islam et aux musulmans.
Between 3 and 10 p.m. on Friday December 20, seven villages in the Bandiagara region were attacked, reports said.
Among them were civilians, but also traditional dozo hunters, who fight the jihadists in central Mali.
Several villages were also set on fire, including millet granaries and vehicles, as evidenced by the videos released by the Jnim.
At least seven people were killed, according to the bishopric of Mopti, in an attack at Ségué, near Bandiagara.
Last month, the Fama claimed responsibility for a series of operations in the region, including air strikes, claiming to have neutralized several dozen terrorists.
