The Nigerian Air Force has neutralized 50 terrorists in air operations targeting members of the West African branch of the terrorist organization Daesh, in Borno State, in the northeast of the country.
Nigerian Air Force spokesman Olusola Akinboyewa shared a written statement on the operation on Tuesday.
“The army conducted air operations targeting three Daech installations in the Marte area on October 31,” he said.
The document states that 50 terrorists, including leader Bashir Dauda, were neutralized during these operations.
In addition, the military officer stated that depots belonging to the terrorist organization were destroyed during these operations.
Nigeria has long faced attacks by armed organizations as well as Boko Haram and the West African branch of the terrorist organization Daech in various parts of the country.
