Lebanon: aerial bombardments kill 60 civilians

In Lebanon, more than 60 civilians, including two children, were killed in several Israeli air strikes on Monday, October 28, 2024.

These strikes hit several localities in the province of Baalbek, a Hezbollah stronghold, and left many wounded.

The bombardments, concentrated in the eastern Bekaa Valley, caused extensive destruction. The authorities are continuing rescue operations to find any victims under the rubble.

Since the start of the escalation between Israel and Lebanon, the number of civilian and military casualties has continued to rise.

On Friday October 25, the Ministry of Health had already announced the death of 163 rescue workers in strikes attributed to Tsahal, a toll that underlines the scale of the conflict between the two countries.
