At least seven people, including members of the security forces and civilians, were killed and six wounded in a suicide bomb attack near the police academy in Mogadishu, Somalia.
“The attack took place near the General Kahiye police academy in the Hamar Jajab district of Mogadishu,” according to reports.
“The explosion had caused panic among residents near the site of the attack,” according to witness.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but the al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist group al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for recent attacks in the Horn of Africa country.
