In Togo, an Armed Forces helicopter was involved in an accident on Sunday afternoon at the Nioukpourma military camp.
After suffering a terrorist attack on October 2, the Togolese army lost one of its combat aircraft.
On Sunday October 6, a Russian-made MI-23 helicopter crashed shortly after taking off from the camp of the 3rd Inter-Arms Regiment in Nioukpourma (3e RIA).
Available information indicates that no official death toll has yet been announced.
This is not an isolated incident: six months ago, another army helicopter carrying weapons caught fire just after taking off from the same camp. A surveillance drone also crashed in the Kpendjal region.
