USA: Kamala Harris praises Joe Biden

U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris recounted the moment President Joe Biden contacted her to tell her he had stopped his re-election campaign in July 2024.

According to her,” When she received the phone call, her family was visiting. They had just enjoyed pancakes and bacon while they busied themselves with a puzzle.”

“My first thought wasn’t for me, to be honest with you, my first thought was for him,” Harris said when asked if she’d asked for his support.

The vice president also maintained that the president could have served again.

“He’s so smart, and I’ve spent hours and hours with him in the Oval Office and in the Situation Room. He has the intelligence, commitment, judgment and disposition that I think the American people rightly deserve in their president,” she added.
