For many soccer fans, Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti and José Mourinho are considered to be the best coaching trio of recent years.
Franck Ribéry, however, doesn’t seem to share this opinion. In an interview, he revealed who he considers to be the best coach of his career.
Over the course of his brilliant career, particularly during his time in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, Franck Ribéry has been coached by a number of coaches, including Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti.
Although these two technicians, who are often cited alongside José Mourinho as the best coaches of recent years, are highly respected by soccer fans, Ribéry does not entirely share this opinion.
In an interview, the former France international revealed that another coach has had a greater impact on him, preferring not to name either the Italian or the Spaniard as the best in his opinion.
And according to the former French international, the best coach he ever worked under was and remains: “Jupp Heynckes”.
“The best coach I’ve ever worked with? Jupp Heynckes“, declared the former France international.
Jupp Heynckes may be less well known in the world of coaching, but he is nonetheless a soccer legend.
He won the 1974 World Cup with Germany as a player, before turning to coaching.
In his coaching career, he briefly managed Bayern Munich between 2016 and 2018.
