A decree from the Minister of Higher Education announces a reduction in special registration fees at public universities this year in Chad.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, students enrolled in the special Bachelor’s program will pay 100,000F CFA, compared with 150,000F CFA in the past. Master’s students will pay 200,000F CFA instead of 300,000F (for Master 1) and 500,000F (for Master 2).
For medicine, the reduction is even greater. Students in the special regime will pay only 500,000F CFA for their registration, compared with 1 million last year.
According to the decree, this reduction is exceptional and applies only to the 2024-2025 academic year.
These reductions apply only to Chadian students, and also to nationals of Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) countries. Students from outside the Cemac zone must pay between 200,000 and 1,000,000 FCFA for the LMD cycle.
According to the decree, the special scheme is open to civil servants/students, students with disabilities, students on civic service, students with long-term illnesses, and high-level sports and artistic students.
