Six TikTok influencers have been arrested by the police and senteenced to death in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The defendants were found guilty of conspiracy, murder, kidnapping and several other crimes.
This decision came after long hours of investigation, during which the court questioned the defendants and confronted them with civil parties and witnesses.
The public present at the hearing unanimously welcomed the court’s decision.
These convictions come against a backdrop of increasing kidnappings and thefts on public transport in Kinshasa in recent days.
