At least three injured in two shark attacks in Florida

Three people were injured, including one seriously, on Friday June 7, in two shark attacks in Walton County, Florida, in the United States, USA Today reported.

The first, a 45-year-old woman, lost her left arm after being attacked off the beach in the town of Watersound.

She had to be airlifted to hospital for treatment. The other two, teenagers aged 15 and 17, were injured at Inlet Beach. One of the two young people was also taken to hospital by helicopter.

Corey Dobridnia, the Walton County sheriff’s spokesman, told USA Today that he was “100 percent sure a shark was behind the attacks.”

According to him, “it is probably the same shark, given the short distance between the two beaches”. The shark could belong to the race of bull sharks.
