Organized jointly by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, the next African Nations Championship (CHAN) will take place from February 1 to 25, 2025.
The announcement was made by Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
“The qualifiers will take place between October and December”, announced Cameroon’s Seidou Mbombo Njoya, 4th vice-president of CAF.
The first qualifiers will start between October 21 and 27.
What’s new at the CHAN is that teams will be able to call on any player from the African continent.
In the past, only players from local leagues were eligible.
