Nigeria: 4 members of a family die in their sleep

The tragic death of a family of four has brought fear and apprehension in Nsukka Local Government Area in Nigeria.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday, September 1, 2024, has plunged the entire community into deep mourning.

The victims, including a woman, her daughter, mother and sister, died in their sleep.

The exact cause of the deaths remains unknown however, some residents on Facebook claimed it was a case of food poisoning.

“The four victims had shared a meal the previous night before going to bed,” according to reports.

The victims have been taken to the hospital for autopsy and investigation has began as the community has decided to go spiritual to uncover the cause of the incident.

“My community has been restless since this incident happened. We have not witnessed anything like this since the history of this community. We are making efforts to determine what could have led to this tragedy,” Igwe Felix Ugwu, the community ruler said.
