A landlord’s son was arrested for inflicting machete wounds on his father’s tenant and children at Adankwame in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
“The suspect prevented the tenant from entering his room on the grounds that the rent had expired, which led to the assault,” reports said.
“The suspect accosted his husband and son with the machete, when she quickly ran out to raise an alarm amidst shouts for help,” the victim’s wife said.
The tenant, his son and his 19-year-old daughter were ruched to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries.
The little boy was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The suspect was arrested by the police after fleeing into hiding.
