Mother and son arrested for killing brother-in-law

A Magistrate’s Court in Makurdi, Benue State, has remanded a 40-year-old housewife and her son in custody for beating her brother-in-law to death in Nigeria, according to reports.

“The woman and her son beat up her in-law living with her,” according to information.

The woman claimed that her in-law stole meat from her pot of soup.

“Her In-law became unconscious as a result of the beating and was rushed to a hospital, but died while receiving treatment,” police said.

“The police charged both mother and son with criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide,” the News Agency of Nigeria reported.
