A helicopter crashed on Wednesday morning near a kindergarten in the Kyiv region, killing 18 people including Interior Minister, Denys Monastyrsky, the Ukrainian presidency announced.

Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky, 42, his first deputy Yevgeny Ienin, 42, and another senior ministry official on board the aircraft also lost their lives, a statement said.
In addition, 22 injured including ten children are in intensive care, according to the same source.
