Mozambique take serious decision after ex-Angolan president death

Angola: “President dos Santos did not die of poisoning” – AG

Angolan Attorney-General, Helder Pitta Gros, says a post mortem examination into the death of the former president, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, has ruled out poisoning, local media reported.

It comes after the late president’s daughter, Tchize dos Santos, requested an autopsy of her father’s corpse.

She has spoken of a conspiracy to kill her father to prevent him supporting the opposition in the upcoming Angolan elections.

Eduardo dos Santos , 79, died in Spain where he was being treated for an undisclosed illness.

He ruled the Republic of Angola from 1979 to 2017.
