Tanzania: monkey snatches baby from his mother and kills him

A month-old baby died in Mwamgongo, western Tanzania, when a group of monkeys entered their home, snatched him from his mother and killed him.

Mother Shayima will find it difficult to grieve as her baby, Luhaiba Said, died in tragic conditions.

Indeed, the mother was breastfeeding the baby when a group of monkeys burst into the house and seized the boy.

According to information from the central governor of the region, several villagers ran into the concession to recover the baby from the hands of the monkey.

The animal then lashed out at the child, local media reported.

During the rescue effort, Said suffered injuries to his head and neck and later died as he received emergency medical treatment.
