Morocco announces the reopening of its airspace

Authorities in Morocco have announced the reopening of the country’s airspace to international passenger flights from next month.

The country banned all inbound and outbound international flights in November 2021 to curb the spread of the Omicron variant of covid-19.

Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch announced the lifting of the ban on February 7 and urged passengers to comply with Covid-19 guidelines.

The northern African country has so far 1,12 M cases of Covid-19 including 15 270 deaths.
