Zambia: Hakainde Hichilema starts appointing members of his cabinet

After his inauguration, the new Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema announces he will start appointing members of his cabinet.

The president has tweeted that the minister of finance is the first to be appointed:

Mr Hichilema defeated his main rival, the outgoing President Edgar Lungu, by more than a million votes.

He promised Zambians three decent meals a day saying “no Zambian should go to bed hungry.”
