South Africa: 18-years-olds can now be vaccinated against covid-19

In order to curb the spread of the Delta variant, authorities in South Africa have decided on Friday to include 18-34 years olds on the list of people allowed to take the jab. They can now be vaccinated against coronavirus pandemic

The vaccination age in South Africa has now been revised to include 18-34 year-olds. All adults will now be able to get vaccinated as the country ramps up its vaccination drive.

Initially, only those aged 35 and older were eligible for vaccination.

South Africa has so far recorded 2,652,652 coronavirus cases, including 78 694 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
