Spain becomes 4th European country to legalize euthanasia

Euthanasia is the practice of intentionally ending a life to relieve pain and suffering. Different countries have different euthanasia laws.

This Thursday, the Spanish Parliament definitively approved the legalization of euthanasia.

The vote was validated by 202 votes in favor, 141 against and 2 abstentions. Spain becomes the fourth European country to decriminalize euthanasia, after the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
