‘Spirit Of Paris’: the non-alcoholic drink that gets seriously drunk

It tingles the throat when we drink it. According to its promoters, we’ll have to take 3 shots before feeling its effects. In France, researchers create a non-alcoholic drink, but which makes drunk when taken. It’s baptized ‘Spirit Of Paris’.

Made from plants vinegar, ginger, bergamot, fruits, spices and other ingredients, the drink seems to simulate the effects of alcohol without containing a drop.

Origins of spirit of Paris

Thierry Daniel and Eric Fossard, two spirits specialists, have created the event out of passion and they began to detect an underlying phenomenon: that of spirit free cocktails, that is non-alcoholic.

The duo consequently requested Nicolas Julhes the Boss of Paris distillery. Thierry and Eric challenged him to create a drink that simulate the effects of alcohol… without containing any. Nicolas got to work without delay: for him it is the first time that he released an alcohol-free distillate. After months of research, Nicolas has selected the ingredients from which he has extracted aromas, then has macerated them in plant’s vinegar and spices such as (cardamom, bergamot, sandalwood, ginger).

He has curiously changed the alcohol… with fat (which is an excellent organic solvent).

In total, a mix of about twenty products which leads to two unusual drinks: “electrifying citrus” and “woody stimulating”.

The name of Spirit Of Paris is given to the research and it tingles the throat when it is drunk.

What Is the purpose of this project?

Interest a customer who desires to go out but choose not to drink alcohol.

In any case it remains a creative idea and rather ingenious in terms of marketing.
